Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that all products adhere to the defined quality benchmarks and specifications. This position involves conducting inspections, tests, and audits to detect any discrepancies or defects in quality, utilizing a variety of tools and equipment to assess product dimensions and characteristics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive inspections and evaluations on raw materials, components, and finished goods to confirm compliance with quality standards.
  • Support the completion and submission of necessary documentation including PPAPs, ISIRs, Control Plans, and FA inspections.
  • Calibrate and oversee the maintenance of testing and measurement instruments as well as the calibration system.
  • Conduct internal audits in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation or computer entries related to inspection tasks.
  • Engage in process enhancement initiatives and maintain a constructive attitude.
  • Assist in addressing customer complaints and managing returns.
  • Execute cleanliness assessments.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and quality standards to ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate degree or higher is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of inspection experience in a metal fabrication setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and utilize various precision measuring tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities by exemplifying professional conduct, managing multiple tasks, maintaining a positive demeanor, and adapting to organizational changes.
  • Proficiency in GD&T and CMM.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks efficiently and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of quality principles and control, along with knowledge of production processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Effective time management skills contributing to operational efficiency and effectiveness.
