About the Role

This part-time position is a great opportunity to make a difference in the community by supporting the elderly services department at the City of Danbury, CT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily operations of the Elmwood Hall Senior Center, including setup and breakdown of activities, maintenance of facilities, and preparation of supplies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to seniors, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with the director of elderly services to coordinate events, seminars, and other programs for seniors.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks, such as watering plants and cleaning kitchen appliances.
  • Transfer documents and mail between Elmwood Hall and City Hall.
  • Backup front desk staff as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • One year of experience working in the field of aging.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and move tables and chairs.
  • Computer skills and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual ability a plus.
Estimated Salary

$15.69 per hour.
