Job Overview:
The IT Support Specialist will act as the primary point of contact for technical assistance within the organization. This role encompasses providing exceptional customer service and technical support to users across various platforms and devices.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage procurement of mobile devices including smartphones and tablets. Collaborate with telecommunications providers during service implementations and outages. Conduct monthly reviews of invoices for compliance with vendor agreements. Perform regular audits of mobile devices to optimize plans and inventory. Address and resolve billing discrepancies with service providers. Oversee the recycling and inventory management of mobile devices. Support paging systems and related equipment. Assist in emergency notification systems and updates. Investigate outstanding balances to ensure timely resolution and credit application. Maintain accurate records of telecom services and equipment. Work closely with vendors to resolve claims efficiently. Assist in the configuration and installation of various IP phone models. Provide daily maintenance for unified communication systems. Help configure user IP phones for mobility access. Attend training sessions related to telecommunications and customer service. Perform additional tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
The IT Support Specialist will provide first-level IT support for the organization, ensuring prompt response to user inquiries and issues.
Responsibilities include monitoring and addressing service requests via phone and email, ensuring user satisfaction and adherence to service level agreements.
General Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. Install and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a multi-location environment. Participate in the deployment of new technology solutions. Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities. Communicate effectively with users. Manage IT inventory and asset tracking. Document resolutions in the ticketing system accurately. Stay updated on emerging technologies. Experience with ticketing systems is preferred. Diagnose and resolve complex software and operating system issues. Manage service requests from initiation to resolution. Provide a single point of contact for all service desk activities. Contribute to process improvements within the service desk. Remain knowledgeable about service desk tools and technologies. Prioritize and resolve user requests efficiently. Ensure adherence to escalation procedures.
Additional Preferred Skills:
Strong customer service background. Experience with Windows operating systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with desktop support and wireless technologies. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. ITIL certification is a plus. Capable of lifting and installing equipment as needed.
Equipment Operated:
Standard office equipment (computers, printers, phones). Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Support for mobile devices and remote access tools. Experience with imaging and deploying new hardware.
Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution. and,
At least one year of experience in a related role. Familiarity with data processing applications.
