We are a leading hotel chain that prides ourselves on providing exceptional hospitality to our guests. As a sales manager, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and building strong relationships with clients.

Estimated Salary: $68,000-$72,000 per year

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced sales manager to join our team at Homewood Suites Washington DC. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing accounts, soliciting new business opportunities, and meeting or exceeding revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create and execute strategic sales plans to identify, attract, and retain business opportunities.
  2. Solicit new and existing accounts through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication.
  3. Attend industry events, trade shows, and community functions to build relationships and promote the hotel's services.
  4. Negotiate and finalize contracts within approved guidelines.
  5. Analyze and manage business opportunities to achieve maximum profit margins.
  6. Develop and maintain knowledge of local market trends, competition, and key accounts.
  7. Creatively sell available hotel space to maximize revenue.
  8. Ensure proper usage and accurate information entry into sales software.
  9. Establish on-site customer contact as needed and introduce customers to service staff.
  10. Follow up with clients after each function to ensure satisfaction and solicit additional business.
  11. Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times and act as a representative of the hotel.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • One to two years of experience in hotel sales or a related field is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively is necessary.
  • Familiarity with property management systems and sales software is desirable.

  • Hotel sales experience.
