A leading investment management firm, Selby Jennings, seeks a highly experienced Sales Director to drive growth and expand their institutional sales team.

With a proven track record in fundraising from institutional investors, the successful candidate will leverage their expertise to achieve ambitious capital-raising targets and foster strong relationships with key allocators across the East Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage industry connections to secure funding opportunities for fund structures and direct investments.
  • Maintain and develop strategic partnerships with pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, and other influential investors.
  • Develop and execute tailored sales plans to increase investor engagement and drive business expansion.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to effectively communicate the firm's value proposition and investment strategies.
  • Oversee the entire fundraising lifecycle, ensuring seamless negotiations and due diligence processes.
  • Promote the firm's brand and thought leadership at industry events, conferences, and meetings.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least 10 years of experience in institutional sales within the investment management industry.
  • A proven history of raising capital from institutional investors, preferably for funds and direct investments in renewable infrastructure, private equity, or private credit.
  • An established network of institutional investors across the East Coast region.
  • Familiarity with working at a placement agent is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of the investment landscape, particularly within the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • A results-driven approach, with a demonstrated ability to drive fundraising success and meet ambitious targets.

This role offers a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a stimulating work environment and opportunities for career growth within a dynamic organization.
