Staff Accountant Job Description

The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in the financial operations of Aristotle, reporting directly to the Controller. Key responsibilities include:

Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and enter journal entries for fixed assets, accruals, deferred rent, prepayments, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist in all aspects of month-end close and close analysis.
  • Prepare P&L and Balance Sheet for senior management.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Process weekly full cycle Accounts Payable.
  • Reconcile Payroll transactions.
  • Assist with accounts receivable and billing.
Administrative Duties
  • Receive and distribute mail, deliveries, and incoming faxes.
  • Greet and direct visitors.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Strong attention to detail and strong communication skills.
