Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Staff Accountant based in Washington, District of Columbia. This role involves managing general ledgers, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, reconciling accounts, processing accounts payable and receivable, supporting audits, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and utilizing various accounting software. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Utilize accounting software to streamline financial processes.
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts for discrepancies and variances.
• Collaborate with external auditors and internal teams during audits.
• Conduct regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Generate and send client invoices in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets for clients.
• Contribute to financial forecasting activities to support strategic planning.
• Ensure clients adhere to financial compliance requirements.
• Interact with clients to understand their specific financial needs and provide timely and accurate financial information and reports.• Possession of in-depth knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in handling Bank Reconciliations
• Demonstrated experience with General Ledger management
• Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries
• Expertise in Month End Close procedures
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA) would be an advantage.
