Milk Intake Specialist II - CDL, 2nd Shift

Compensation: Starting at $21.63/hour, plus weekend premium and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Work Schedule: 4 PM - 4 AM, on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule, allowing for a balanced work-life throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Intake Operations: Responsible for the operation of a CCP and Yard Horse, requiring a valid CDL. Manage the intake of over 50 loads daily, ensuring compliance with Grande Cheese and regulatory standards for milk quality and safety.
  2. Coordinate the unloading of milk from transport vehicles and its transfer to designated storage units, prioritizing the order of unloading to prevent spoilage.
  3. Conduct verification of seals, wash tags, and weights from farm pick-up slips to ensure the integrity of the milk.
  4. Perform quality assurance tasks including agitation and sampling of milk for testing, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  5. Oversee the loading of cream, whey, and milk from storage for processing.
  6. Monitor equipment and sanitation protocols to maintain high standards of milk quality.
  7. Manage inventory and order necessary supplies to ensure efficient production operations.
  8. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of intake equipment.

Sanitation Duties:

  1. Ensure thorough sanitation of tankers, silos, and intake equipment to uphold milk safety standards.

Regulatory Compliance:

  1. Maintain accurate records of testing, weights, producers, and compliance with government regulations.
  2. Conduct testing and analysis of milk samples for quality assurance, including freshness and contamination checks.
  3. Complete all necessary documentation and reporting as mandated by regulatory agencies.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  2. Provide support and relief as needed across various functions.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in basic math, reading, and writing.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
  • Computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft D365, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of 3A Dairy Standards and their application in maintenance.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to multitask effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.

Licenses & Certifications:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
