Milk Intake Specialist II - CDL, 2nd Shift

Work Schedule: 4 PM - 4 AM, on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule, allowing for only half the year of work

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Intake Operations: Manage the operation of a CCP and Yard Horse, requiring a CDL. Handle over 50 loads daily, ensuring the proper unloading of milk from trucks into designated storage units while adhering to Grande and regulatory standards for quality and safety. Prioritize unloading to prevent expired milk and ensure compliance with critical control points.
  2. Quality Assurance: Verify seals, wash tags, and weights from farm pick-up slips to confirm the integrity of the milk. Collect and agitate milk samples for quality testing in accordance with regulatory standards.
  3. Equipment Monitoring: Conduct regular monitoring of equipment, temperatures, and sanitation processes to maintain milk quality. Perform inspections and troubleshooting of intake equipment, along with general maintenance as necessary.
  4. Sanitation Duties: Execute comprehensive sanitation of tankers, silos, and intake equipment to uphold milk safety standards.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain accurate records of testing, weights, producers, truck numbers, and grade A permits in line with government regulations. Perform testing and analysis of milk samples for freshness and safety, ensuring all documentation meets legal and regulatory requirements.
  6. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and order necessary supplies to ensure efficient production operations.
  7. Additional Responsibilities: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, and provide backup support as needed.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

A minimum of three years of relevant experience, preferably in the food manufacturing sector.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic proficiency in math, reading, and writing.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions.
  • Competence in Microsoft D365, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of 3A Dairy Standards (PMO) and their application.
  • Strong organizational skills with multitasking capabilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.

Licenses & Certifications:

Commercial Driver's License required.
