Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:
MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance of our fixed route bus operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all contractual requirements are met, managing a budget for the maintenance program, and supervising a team of technicians and service workers.

Responsibilities:
• Manage all day-to-day maintenance aspects of the fixed route bus operation
• Ensure all contractual requirements are achieved
• Manage a budget for the maintenance program
• Supervise a team of technicians and service workers
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to maintain parts inventories
• Prioritize, implement, and manage work schedules, projects, and assignments
• Manage the financial and accounting aspects of the fleet maintenance operation
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats

Requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience managing the maintenance functions of a transit bus maintenance shop
• Experience managing/directing 10+ employees
• Experience working with 50+ buses within the last year
• Previous passenger transportation experience preferred
• Ability to manage and interface with clients
• Ability to track and control parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers
• Ability to properly prioritize, implement, and manage work schedules, projects, and assignments
• Ability to manage the financial/accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats
• Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook
• Technical competence with light/medium/heavy duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance
• Technical experience with fixed route transit bus maintenance
• Solid knowledge of managing audits and PM schedules
• CDL Class B with passenger and airbrake endorsement
