Fleet Support Specialist Job Description

STV Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Support Specialist to join our Vehicles/Systems Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that rail agencies receive comprehensive technical support and a steady supply of spare parts, in line with contractual terms agreed upon with carbuilders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with rail agencies and carbuilders to develop, establish, and maintain TSSSA agreements.
  • Analyze and understand the needs of rail agencies and align them with the services provided by carbuilders.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of TSSSA contracts to ensure fair and advantageous outcomes for clients.
  • Oversee the implementation of TSSSA contracts, ensuring compliance and effectiveness.
  • Monitor the performance of carbuilders in providing technical support, spare parts supply, and maintenance services.
  • Manage communication and relationship-building with all stakeholders.
  • Provide expertise in fleet management, maintenance operations, and supply chain management.
  • Manage reviews by other Subject Matter Experts, as needed.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the contract period.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the rail industry, with specific knowledge of TSSSA or similar agreements.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex contracts and relationships.
  • Knowledge of rail vehicle maintenance, supply chain management, and technical support services.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
