Claims Supervisor Job Description

At Jobot, we're seeking a seasoned Claims Supervisor to lead our claims handling team. As a key member of our organization, you'll oversee the daily operations of our claims department, ensuring all claims are processed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of claims handlers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into complex claims, using your analytical skills to determine liability and assess damages.
  • Implement and maintain robust risk management strategies to minimize the company's exposure to claims.
  • Liaise with other departments, insurance companies, and legal representatives as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Continually review and refine the claims handling process to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present reports on claims activities and trends to senior management.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Regional Claims Supervisor, Claims Manager, or similar role in the insurance industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of claims handling and risk management processes.
  • Proven experience in conducting detailed investigations and making sound judgements.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using computer software relevant to the role, such as claims management systems and data analysis tools.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. A professional certification in claims management or risk management would be a plus.
