Medical Records Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our team at ResCare Community Living. As a Medical Records Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of medical data entry, maintaining confidentiality, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Enter medical data into computer systems to facilitate processing and delivery of edited documentation for client facilities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records documents for each facility.
- Research and resolve issues related to illegible or unfamiliar terminology on handwritten sheets provided by facilities.
- Verify and clarify problems or inquiries with facility documentation requests.
- Communicate with facilities nursing staff, Director of Nursing, and Administrator regarding corrections and updates.
- Utilize reference materials to improve skills and maintain confidentiality of employee and patient/resident demographics and medical information.
- Run medical records forms and reports containing facility, patient, and pharmaceutical information.
- Assist consultant pharmacists by obtaining facility data from systems and informing them of department procedures.
- Promote customer goodwill and enhance corporate image to support the corporate mission, values, and philosophy.
- Conduct audits with facilities using computerized data and facility data.
