Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Office Supervisor to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to our office operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide positive leadership and build a team-oriented atmosphere, promoting high professional standards and excellent customer service.
  • Assist the office manager in managing day-to-day operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, and workflow management.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital and office policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective processes and systems to improve office efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the office manager to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensure proper coding and billing practices, and resolve patient and interdepartmental complaints.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Three years of documented recent experience in a physician specialty practice, with experience in billing, coding, and office management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience in management or supervision, with a proven track record of success.
Working Environment

The Office Supervisor will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent interruptions and high stress levels. The successful candidate will be able to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a team-oriented setting.

The physical demands of this position include frequent walking, standing, and lifting, with the ability to move freely throughout the facility. The successful candidate will also be able to read and write legibly in English, with normal visual acuity and reading comprehension ability.
