Job Summary

ResCare Community Living is seeking a skilled Medical Records Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Records Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of medical data entry into our computer system. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the timely and accurate entry of medical data into our computer system
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records documents for each facility
Research and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities in medical data
Communicate effectively with facilities nursing staff, Director of Nursing, and Administrator regarding medical data corrections
Maintain confidentiality of employee and patient/resident demographics and medical information

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
1-2 years of experience in medical records or a related field
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
