About the Role

The Outpatient Clinic Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient services at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient experience and ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients, carers, relatives, and visitors into the hospital, acting as the first point of contact for patients attending the Trust.
  • Validating patients' key demographics and information, accurately recording the outcome of appointments, and making return appointments as directed by clinicians.
  • Supporting the reception supervisor in identifying patients who are not ordinarily resident in the UK and the payment of patient travel expenses.
  • Contributing to the efficient management of patient flow, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective care.
