Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Leave Specialist to join our team at StanCorp Financial Group. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the complexities of certified and reported leaves, including FMLA and state-specific leaves.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze eligibility for leave and make determinations based on company policies and regulations.
  • Communicate leave decisions and resolve inquiries from employees and employers in a timely and responsive manner.
  • Train and support less-experienced team members on leave regulations and procedures.
  • Manage documentation and discrepancies related to leave requests and approvals.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • 1+ years of leave, benefits, or disability claim management experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with FMLA and state-specific leave regulations.
