Job Overview

Manitou is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance tasks, preventive upkeep, and projects across various equipment and processes.

This role is essential in providing technical support and expertise for maintenance repairs, project execution, and predictive maintenance initiatives. The Maintenance Technician will engage in daily tasks that enhance maintenance and support for all operational sectors within the facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail and a task-oriented approach, ensuring the integrity of facilities, equipment, and departmental environments.
  • Engage in diverse maintenance disciplines, including general, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and grounds maintenance, alongside troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Deliver technical support to maintenance and relevant departments, focusing on enhancing facilities, manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment, while also contributing to special projects.
  • Manage maintenance orders, oversee project coordination, and assist with compliance to regulatory standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, prioritizing the well-being of employees and customers.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Successfully complete projects of varying sizes as required.
  • Operate maintenance-related equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Handle chemicals used in maintenance processes with care.
  • Oversee supply reordering and actively seek continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Adapt to varying duties and hours as necessary to meet project timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in mechanical, electrical, maintenance repair, project management, and problem-solving.
  • 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in related fields is preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to lead core maintenance activities across various departments including Fabrication, Welding, Paint, and Assembly.
  • Efficiently sustain equipment uptime and optimal condition.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exhibit strong judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Interface effectively with mechanical, electrical, and other contractors.
  • Utilize knowledge of industrial equipment and processes to resolve issues and enhance operational efficiency.

EDUCATION:

  • A degree or relevant experience in Industrial Maintenance Technology, Industrial Technology, PLC controls, or related fields is advantageous.
