About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Municipal Sales Manager to join our team at Modern Disposal Services, Inc. as a key member of our sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with municipal and government entities, as well as maintaining and growing our existing revenue base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with municipal and government entities, including solid waste and recycling service solicitations.
  • Account Management: Maintain and grow our existing revenue base through new revenue services, pricing objectives, and retention objectives.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with municipal and government officials, as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Communication: Develop and deliver sales presentations, respond to customer inquiries, and provide regular updates to management.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the municipal and government markets.
  • Contract Management: Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and provide required reports and invoices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Four years of direct selling experience, with a focus on municipal and government markets.
  • Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in CRM software.
