About the Opportunity

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner II to join our team in the Neonatology department. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families.

Job Summary

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner II will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, education, and support to patients and families in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to neonates, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient needs and goals
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices
  • Support educational activities and research projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program recognized by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors
  • Master's Degree in Nursing accredited through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN)
  • 3+ years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) performing the same or similar job duties
  • Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and must be attained within 90 days of being hired and maintained throughout employment

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
