Vehicle Condition Evaluator

At CarMax, we're looking for a skilled Vehicle Condition Assessor to join our Purchasing team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for conducting accurate vehicle condition assessments, collecting and recording required information, and communicating with business partners and customers to ensure a seamless car selling experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough vehicle condition assessments, including cosmetic and mechanical inspections, to provide accurate information for Buyers, Senior Buyers, or Purchasing Managers.
Accurately option vehicles during assessments and maintain CarMax inventory.
Perform high-quality imaging of Retail and Wholesale vehicles for CarMax websites.
Complete vehicle secures, verifying appraisal entry information for any discrepancies.
Conduct vehicle walkarounds, communicating information accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist the Merchandising Department with inventory management and customer transfers.
Verify the condition of inventory acquired through online customer channels.
Collaborate with Inventory and Sales Departments for lot merchandising, as needed.
Assist the Merchandising Department with various projects and office duties.
Assist with onboarding new associates.
Complete assigned tasks independently and follow up after completion.
Requirements:
Deliver exceptional customer service and work with other departments to create iconic customer experiences.
Ability to follow detailed, standardized processes to complete work.
Read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
Multi-task in a high-energy, fast-paced work environment.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Function effectively within other departments in a team-oriented environment.
Successfully complete all required Workday training.
Position requires a valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:
Requires walking, bending, kneeling, or standing for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors or in inclement weather environments for several hours.
Flexible work hours with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requires CarMax work clothing to be worn when working in the store.
Adhere to all CarMax policies, including Attendance, Proper Recording of Time, Asset Protection, EH&S, and Standards of Professional Appearance.
Primarily working in an outdoor environment; may include working in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions.
