We are seeking a skilled Bakery Cake Decorator to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs on all specialty bakery goods.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Creatively decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items to meet customer expectations.
  • Assist with production of all mandatory bakery products, including parfaits, bars, and cupcakes.
  • Produce in-house products to daily par levels, as specified on production sheets.
  • Complete production and spoilage records, adjusting production sheets to maintain sufficient product.
  • Prepare, package, weigh, and price bakery products for sale.
  • Monitor product quality for freshness and ensure proper product rotation.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
  • Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment.
Requirements:
  • 6-12 months retail experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Passion for natural foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market.
