Established in 1805, PAFA is recognized as America's first institution dedicated to fine arts education and exhibition. Nestled in the heart of Philadelphia, PAFA fosters a close-knit community atmosphere. We provide a variety of non-degree and certificate programs in studio art and art appreciation. Our museum boasts an exceptional collection of American art and actively engages in the collection and exhibition of contemporary works, including innovative new media. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service through daily interactions and communications. The Admissions Counselor will implement recruitment strategies and engage prospective students through various channels, including:
- Visiting high schools and community colleges, both in-person and virtually.
- Participating in community outreach initiatives.
- Conducting tours of PAFA's facilities.
- Maintaining ongoing strategic communications with educators and counselors via email and other media.
- Assisting in the evaluation of applications during admissions review meetings.
- Welcoming prospective students and helping to plan and host admissions and special events.
- Conducting follow-up activities, including phone outreach and yield events.
- Managing various projects as assigned.
- Overseeing PAFA Admissions emails and responding to inquiries.
- Engaging in professional development opportunities and networking within the field.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong understanding of visual and fine arts.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience, preferably in admissions or recruitment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent written, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
- Experience with institutional database CRM preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to organizational goals.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and possess a valid driver's license for travel.
