The Chief Student Engagement Officer position at InsideHigherEd is responsible for the development, execution, and assessment of a holistic student engagement strategy that enriches the educational experience for all enrolled individuals. This role reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs and is tasked with managing campus activities, recognized student groups, student involvement, and support services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Organize and promote student engagement initiatives and activities
  • Oversee the planning and execution of campus-wide events and partnerships
  • Manage resources such as campus wellness programs and food assistance services
  • Guide student organizations and foster leadership development among students

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory; a Master's degree is highly desirable
  • A minimum of four years of experience in student engagement or a related area

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong analytical skills and adept problem-solving capabilities
  • Familiarity with software tools such as Banner

Physical Requirements:

In the course of performing job responsibilities, the individual must be able to communicate effectively, stand, walk, sit, utilize hands, and occasionally lift items weighing up to 15 pounds.
