JOB SUMMARY:

Synagro is engaged in the operation of a facility specializing in anaerobic digestion, centrifuge dewatering, thermal drum drying, and pelletization. The expansion initiative aims to enhance the existing infrastructure with the addition of significant new components, including two large anaerobic digesters and sludge storage tanks, along with a dedicated control building and various other improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish a daily communication channel with the Facility Manager, Owner's Construction Manager, Project Engineer, and other relevant parties as necessary.
  • Compile and submit daily reports to the Project Manager detailing all site activities.
  • Oversee and assess the quality of all construction work undertaken.
  • Track and evaluate the project timeline and schedule.
  • Review and analyze monthly cost claims and any alterations in costs, including verification of claimed remeasurement amounts.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation in accordance with established procedures.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and the State of Hawaii.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and passport, with the ability to travel internationally if necessary.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of ten years of experience in construction management within a contractor, engineering consultancy, or municipal environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in standard office software, particularly MICROSOFT Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, ADOBE Acrobat, and REVU Bluebeam.
  • Exhibit advanced skills in ORACLE Primavera P6 for schedule comparisons, time impact analysis, and summary schedule generation.
  • Capable of navigating construction sites, including rough terrain and heights, while effectively communicating with site personnel.
  • Experience in conducting inspections for mechanical, electrical, and SCADA systems installations.
  • Demonstrate punctuality in all professional matters and a strong willingness to learn.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional Engineer registration with the State of Hawaii Board of Professional Engineers, Architects, Surveyors & Landscape Architects.
  • Project Management Professional designation, in good standing with the Project Management Institute.
  • Experience in managing construction contractors and engineering consultants.
  • Ability to manage specialized construction, engineering, and operational contracts.
  • Experience in operations within a wastewater or resource recovery facility.
