Job Overview

Position Summary:
The HVAC Maintenance Specialist will collaborate with the Engineering Team to execute essential tasks related to mechanical operations, upkeep, and energy management initiatives, ensuring compliance with MBB quality standards and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, operate, and repair all HVAC systems, including Cooling Towers and Split Systems, along with electrical distribution and plumbing systems. Conduct repairs on building interiors and exteriors, as well as manage related grounds for assigned properties.
  • Carry out ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs. Address Work Orders concerning mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems and equipment.
  • Conduct inspections and due diligence on buildings, reporting any conditions that may affect satisfactory operations.
  • Collaborate with the team to respond efficiently to emergencies, with availability for on-call duties 24/7.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting Management Summary Reports detailing conditions identified during assigned tasks, along with recommendations for necessary actions.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, ensuring cleanliness and safety in work areas. Identify hazards and propose solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance with State, County, or City regulations, codes, or laws. Be prepared to support any after-hours building-related activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Commercial Engineering within the last five years in a Building Engineering capacity.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Universal HVAC Certification is required.
  • Ability to respond to after-hours communications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Capability to build strong relationships with team members, tenants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Dependable with strong organizational skills, prioritization abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Adaptability to changes within the organization and client needs.
