Our hospital includes 10 operating rooms and 30 inpatient beds, with various clinics and services throughout Kootenai County, spanning multiple specialties.

Job Summary

This is a role that involves working closely with RNs and Providers to complete medical consultations for pre-surgical patients. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for rooming patients, taking vital signs, performing venipuncture/finger sticks, urine collection, EKG testing, setting up and cleaning patient exam rooms, checking medication lists, stocking supplies, and making patient-related calls to other providers' offices.

Requirements
  • BLS certification required
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) with an active certification from AAMA or NCCT or NHA
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to understand proper biohazard and sharps waste disposal and display aseptic technique and standard precautions
  • Effective communication skills for safe patient care and documentation standards
