Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough credit assessments and maintain comprehensive customer records.
- Generate and distribute invoices to clients.
- Oversee collection processes, including sending statements and following up on outstanding payments.
- Address customer inquiries and provide necessary support.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to fulfill requests.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Review and analyze AR Aging reports weekly, ensuring proper account management and preparing bad debt reserves.
- Compile monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
- Ensure invoice accuracy through compliance checks and proper coding in the accounting system.
- Support customer claims processing as needed.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned, adhering to operational and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting, billing, credit, and collections, or a Bachelor's degree in accounting. Experience in logistics or warehousing is advantageous.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with AS-400, JD Edwards, or Sage is a plus.
- Experience in handling collection communications effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
- Effective organizational and time management skills, capable of multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities.
- Logical thinking with the ability to follow procedures and make informed decisions.
- Consistent ability to meet deadlines and adapt to flexible working hours, including potential overtime and weekend shifts.
