Position Overview:
Vaco is seeking a Credit & Billing Coordinator to join our team. This role requires on-site presence and is essential for managing the financial operations related to accounts receivable and billing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough credit assessments and maintain comprehensive customer records.
  • Generate and distribute invoices to clients.
  • Oversee collection processes, including sending statements and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Address customer inquiries and provide necessary support.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to fulfill requests.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Review and analyze AR Aging reports weekly, ensuring proper account management and preparing bad debt reserves.
  • Compile monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
  • Ensure invoice accuracy through compliance checks and proper coding in the accounting system.
  • Support customer claims processing as needed.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned, adhering to operational and safety protocols.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting, billing, credit, and collections, or a Bachelor's degree in accounting. Experience in logistics or warehousing is advantageous.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with AS-400, JD Edwards, or Sage is a plus.
  • Experience in handling collection communications effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills, capable of multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities.
  • Logical thinking with the ability to follow procedures and make informed decisions.
  • Consistent ability to meet deadlines and adapt to flexible working hours, including potential overtime and weekend shifts.
