About the Role

The Steel Erectors Association is seeking a highly skilled Credit Manager to join our team. As a Credit Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and Approve Credit Applications: Review new credit applications, pulling all necessary credit reports, running credit references, and validating tax certificates to ensure accurate and timely approval of credit limits.
  • Manage Credit Holds and Releases: Regularly monitor the credit hold screen and release orders when they meet the requirements to release.
  • Conduct Quarterly Credit Reviews: Run and complete quarterly credit review reports for accounts with $100k or less credit limits, meeting our credit policy requirements.
  • Assist with Credit-Related Tasks: Assist customers, both internal and external, with requests that are credit and A/R related, including requesting credit and debit memos for sales tax and reconciling accounts to ensure our aging matches the customer's ledger.
  • Special Projects and NACM Meetings: Assist with special projects as requested by the Corporate Credit Manager, Director of Credit, and/or Chief Financial Officer, and attend NACM meetings when requested or needed.
Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications: 7+ years of credit department experience, with supervisor experience a plus. Previous experience in the construction industry a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Word and Excel, with the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
  • Additional Requirements: Familiarity with lien and bond claim notice requirements a plus, with the ability to make customer visits as needed and travel when necessary. NACM credentials a plus.
