Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist to join our Developmental Pediatrics Team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating and diagnosing mental health disorders in children, providing treatment and crisis intervention services, and collaborating with medical personnel to develop and implement treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders in children, including crisis intervention and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with medical personnel to develop and implement treatment plans, including non-pharmacologic and behavioral interventions.
  • Provide education and support to children and their families to encourage compliance with medical and behavioral regimes.
  • Administer and evaluate psychological and neuropsychological tests, as needed.
  • Consult with physicians on psychotropic medications and provide training to other team members on mental health, behavioral medicine, and health psychology.
  • Participate in program development, evaluation, and outcome assessment, as needed.
Requirements
  • PhD/PsyD/EdD in clinical counseling, health, or school psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Current valid license to practice psychology in the State of California or valid license to practice in a state in the United States and able to practice under Business and Professional Code Section 2946.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) or ability to obtain one prior to employment start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous clinical responsibilities, including diagnosis, crisis intervention, brief individual and group psychotherapy, and consultation and collaboration with medical personnel.
  • Knowledge of state regulations and APA standards related to client treatment, patient rights, and client/patient confidentiality.
