Clinical Psychologist

As a Clinical Psychologist on our Adult Team in Santa Clara, you will play a vital role in providing mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services to adult and/or child members. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and direct each individual member's treatment program, ensuring a comprehensive and effective approach to mental health care.
Essential Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical treatment programs for members with acute or chronic mental illness, working closely with the treating physician and allied health professionals.
- Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, using evidence-based practices and tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each member.
- Conduct psychological assessments, including test administration, interpretation, and recommendations, to inform treatment planning and ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries, maintaining ongoing confidential records and adhering to state and NCQA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians in screening and evaluating patients for psychotropic medications, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
- Develop and implement behavioral medicine and health psychology programs in various settings, including primary care, to promote holistic health and well-being.
- Provide consultation to other care providers and health educators on matters related to mental health, health psychology, and behavioral medicine.
- Supervise Post-Masters Fellows, Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage Family Therapists, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselors, as needed, to ensure the development of skilled mental health professionals.
- Provide education and support to members and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health care and treatment.
- PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Psychologist License (California) within 6 months of hire.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Familiarity with DSM-V as a means of diagnosis.
- Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice and psychotherapy research methods.
- Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans.
- Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
- Professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
- Commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
