We're seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team. As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support for our applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues, and collaborating with development teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for our applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve complex technical issues
  • Mentor and share skills and knowledge with team members
  • Independently provide technical support for application issues and outages
  • Advanced at monitoring the on-going reporting of end user issues and resolving when possible
  • Advanced at maintaining and renewing security certificates and providing the IT response for environmental security vulnerabilities
  • Advanced at managing the creation and support of job scheduling functions required for the application
  • Advanced at creating custom reports using report writing tools
  • Advanced at supporting application installation, configuration, and progression through multiple environments
  • Advanced at managing the creation and implementation of environmental and application alerts
  • Advanced at preparing environments for testing of new code releases and support testing activity through operational validation manually and with automated testing tools

Requirements:

  • Advanced understanding of common application runtimes, including Java, Tomcat, Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory, Databricks workspace and runtime
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Azure services, including AKS, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks
  • Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies and tools
  • Solid scripting and development skills, with expertise in Python and Java
  • Experience with Terraform for managing cloud infrastructure
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Advanced understanding of modern technology and ability to have a technical conversation about an issue, request or recommendation
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 5+ years application support or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years experience in Agile methodologies preferred
  • 2+ years experience with DevOps and Azure preferred
