Benefits Coordinator

The Benefits Intern will assist the Benefits team in processing, reporting, auditing, and customer service support in benefits administration. This role will provide administrative support for benefits programs, including open enrollment, and perform data entry for all benefit-related activities.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a backup to the benefits team for employee questions and issues, working with the team to resolve them.
- Perform general benefits administration tasks, including opening mail, filing, and assisting with annual open enrollment and employee benefit changes.
- Enter data for all benefit-related activities, including enrollments and changes, into the HRIS system.
- Provide support to benefits team members to ensure federal and state compliance.
- Perform audits in benefits systems and coordinate with benefits team members during open enrollment to ensure a smooth enrollment process for all employees.
- Maintain and administer employee recognition programs and maintain accurate administrative and employee medical files.
- Pull reports as needed and perform ad hoc tasks as business needs dictate.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work effectively with others to achieve group goals.
- Effective planning and priority setting.
