Position Summary:
We are seeking a Community School Resource Manager to oversee the Community Schools initiative. This role involves providing direct support to youth and families, coordinating community resources, and collaborating with educational institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee various program components, executing a diverse range of tasks that require comprehensive knowledge of youth and family development.
  • Establish a structured framework for daily program operations, implementing strategies to ensure high-quality service delivery and effective outcomes.
  • Align program resources to meet the needs of youth and families, ensuring that systems are in place for crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, and service referrals.
  • Act as the primary liaison with educational representatives for matters requiring information and approvals.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders and engage in public relations activities to promote programs.
  • Develop partnerships with parents, educators, and community organizations to provide services and resources that address the needs of youth and families.
  • Exercise independent judgment to make decisions based on established precedents, particularly in unique situations.
  • Handle confidential information responsibly, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Manage hiring, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and terminations for program staff.
  • Provide orientation and ongoing training for employees and volunteers on topics related to youth development and community resources.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of program policies and records.
  • Monitor program activities, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting as required.
  • Contribute to program budgeting and fiscal planning, ensuring adherence to financial projections.
  • Participate in grant writing efforts to sustain or expand programming as needed.
  • Collaborate with other programs within the organization and provide consultation as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of organizational policies and their application.
  • Passion for working with youth and families, with a solid understanding of youth and family development.
  • Professional demeanor, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively in a supportive manner.
  • Supervisory and leadership experience, including staff hiring and management.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and creatively solve problems in program development.
  • Familiarity with public services and resources, with experience in community collaboration.
  • Strong facilitation skills and experience in training and leading groups through transitions.
  • Adherence to State and Federal regulations, as well as organizational policies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in policy development and budget management.
  • Availability for 24/7 support in exceptional circumstances.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License and a reliable vehicle for transportation.
  • Good physical and mental health to fulfill job responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services Field from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role; or
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
