Position Overview:
This role encompasses a range of responsibilities aimed at overseeing the financial aspects of various projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Responsibilities:
- Manage the project accounting function for projects of varying complexity, guided by overarching goals.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project accounting policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and adhered to.
- Facilitate monthly project review meetings to pinpoint challenges and opportunities.

Operational Responsibilities:
- Analyze general ledger accounts and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Review and interpret financial documents and records.
- Prepare statistical, financial, accounting, or auditing reports for management review.
- Reconcile financial transaction records and ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate both internal and external audits, including preparing schedules and facilitating requests.
- Assist in the budgeting process and provide insights on budget variances.
- Support the implementation or enhancement of accounting and information systems.
- Conduct monthly reviews of outstanding unbilled account balances.
- Prepare and verify client invoices for projects, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
- Complete monthly job forecasts and synchronize with financial systems.
- Disseminate weekly reports and conduct operational training sessions.
- Act as the project’s financial lead, possessing a comprehensive understanding of revenue, costs, commitments, reporting, and cash flow.
- Manage subcontractor and vendor contracts for significant material purchases, including modifications.
- Ensure proper closure of completed projects in line with company policies.
- Research and comply with tax regulations relevant to project locations.
- Utilize financial systems for the billing and payment processes for subcontractors.
- Track and ensure completion of compliance requirements both internally and externally.

Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the construction sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Compensation:
The salary is competitive and will be based on the candidate's skills and experience. The benefits package includes comprehensive health coverage, a 401(k) contribution, and performance-based bonuses. The anticipated salary range for this position is $74k-82k.
