With over 40 years of experience in the industry, we specialize in creating and managing safety footwear programs for various sectors, including industrial, governmental, and service organizations.

This role will be based in a retail environment and will involve learning to operate our mobile shoe trailer. It is a versatile position that offers the chance to engage in multiple facets of our operations, including warehouse duties, retail assistance, and mobile service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Availability to work on Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM.
  • Assist customers in selecting appropriate footwear in our retail location.
  • Support warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and inventory replenishment.
  • Greet customers warmly upon their arrival and guide them in choosing the right products.
  • Process sales transactions, handle payments, and ensure proper documentation for credit card transactions.
  • Manage customer exchanges and returns in accordance with company policies.
  • Operate a 3/4 ton pickup truck while towing a 34-foot trailer.
  • Comply with all traffic laws and regulations while operating a commercial vehicle; a CDL is not required.
  • Maintain inventory levels on the mobile store in preparation for customer appointments.
  • Coordinate with the Sales Manager and Account Contacts to provide outstanding service before, during, and after appointments.
  • Set up the mobile store at customer locations, ensuring all safety measures and connections are in place.

Qualifications

  • Sales and customer service are the primary focus of this role, comprising 75% of daily activities.
  • A genuine interest in sales and a strong customer service orientation are essential.
  • Ability to drive a truck with a 35-foot trailer is required.
  • Willingness to travel overnight, averaging 2-3 nights per month, with accommodations and meals provided.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory; a CDL is not required, but candidates must pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
  • A background check will be conducted to review driving and personal records.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Physical capability to crouch or kneel to access products on lower shelves.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds, equivalent to a carton containing 6-8 pairs of shoes.
  • Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are advantageous.
