Job Title: School Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Nurse to join our team at Great Hearts Academies. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students, providing medical care, and promoting a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to provide medical care and support to students with various health needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with chronic health conditions.
  • Provide routine medical care, including vaccinations, medications, and first aid.
  • Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify potential health issues.
  • Communicate with parents and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Expertise in student-specific case management plans for acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Ability to implement policies and procedures.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, mentoring, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
