Role Summary:
The Global Chief Investment Strategist plays a pivotal role in articulating and positioning NTAM's investment perspectives within the broader marketplace, facilitating client discussions, and fostering business growth across the Wealth Client Group and the Global Institutional Client Group.
This position involves active participation in shaping the firm's economic and market outlook.
Collaboration with the Chief Investment Officer of Global Asset Allocation and other investment leaders is essential to develop and disseminate insights for clients, while enhancing visibility through industry and media engagements.
The Global Chief Investment Strategist will lead a dedicated team, including the Chief Investment Strategist for North America and the Chief Investment Strategist for EMEA, which will be integral to client engagement and the formulation of a go-to-market strategy that conveys consistent market insights tailored to our core client segments:
Wealth Client Group:
Deliver insightful market content to advisors and their clients, and engage in speaking opportunities to support the growth of Wealth Client business.
Institutional Client Group:
Build a team capable of providing insightful market content to institutions both in the U.S. and globally.
This role reports directly to the Global Chief Investment Officer.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate actively in various investment committees and contribute to the formation of the firm's economic and market perspectives.
Engage with clients and prospects to comprehend their unique research needs, investment objectives, and risk tolerances, allowing for a personalized narrative that reflects the firm's insights on market conditions.
The team must possess a deep understanding of client segments to consistently deliver tailored insights while differentiating between their distinct goals and preferences.
Collaborate with investment teams, economists, and product groups to create thought leadership content for both internal and external stakeholders. Organize and publish the outcomes of research meetings and produce investment commentaries that address client needs.
Generate insights and thought leadership on significant market events and trends to guide investment decision-making. Strategists will provide timely commentary on relevant issues in alignment with prevailing house views on asset classes.
Necessary Education, Experience, and Skills:
A college or university degree and/or relevant proven experience in investment management with leadership capabilities is required.
An advanced degree or related industry qualification (e.g., CFA, CAIA) is preferred.
15+ years of experience in investment management as a portfolio manager or analyst is essential.
Exceptional public speaking skills are necessary, including a minimum of 5 years of regular media speaking engagements.
Demonstrated experience in effective communication through various channels, including in-person, social media, and print.
Extensive experience with keynote speaking engagements to large audiences is required.
