Position Summary

The Safety and Security Analyst is responsible for conducting thorough research and analysis of data from various sources to identify and confirm trends related to sales, inventory discrepancies, and profit margins. This role leverages tools such as digital surveillance systems and point-of-sale monitoring to detect and substantiate instances of fraud. The analyst will be accountable for achieving departmental objectives concerning loss prevention, safety incidents, and financial discrepancies, requiring the ability to investigate complex issues and propose effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop targeted analytical methods to investigate inventory losses, identifying root causes and theft patterns. Utilize SKU-level data to assess loss trends and implement preventive measures. Generate standardized reports to inform stakeholders about loss metrics across various levels of the organization.

2. Recommend enhancements to the company's monitoring systems, ensuring they effectively support both investigative and operational needs. Participate in feedback surveys to gather insights on asset protection programs and suggest improvements to minimize losses.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine reporting metrics that utilize data-driven insights, helping to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement at all organizational levels.

4. Conduct audits of processes that affect financial losses, utilizing surveillance tools to support investigations. Identify safety risks and advise management on preventive strategies. Investigate external theft incidents, particularly organized retail crime, to mitigate significant losses.

5. Monitor alarm systems and provide detailed reports to relevant teams. Conduct surveillance of retail and distribution locations to identify criminal activities and support crisis management efforts in collaboration with law enforcement.

6. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Course of Study:

Criminal Justice, Business Administration

Experience:

0 - 3 years in a related field

Language Proficiency:

English

Skills and Abilities:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of two years of experience in asset protection or related areas.

- Strong analytical and investigative skills.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Proficient in English communication.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies.

Preferred Skills:

- Certifications in fraud examination or asset protection.

- Financial acumen and the ability to provide innovative solutions.

- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication across diverse groups.

Work Environment:

Office-based with occasional travel required.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to sit, use hands, and communicate effectively. Occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs may be necessary.

Schedule:

Varied work hours may be required.
