Kings Dominion is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper electrical maintenance and safe operating condition of all park rides. This includes performing inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical work on rides, ride control systems, computers, and PLCs. You will also be responsible for installing electrical conduit and wiring, cleaning electrical equipment and components, maintaining controls and motors on rides, and maintaining ride lighting. Additionally, you will modify electrical/electronic systems as needed to ensure ride safety and efficiency. You will review technical documents, blueprints, schematics, catalogs, etc., as needed to support ride maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation work. You will also prepare and/or maintain inspection sheets, daily work records, downtime records, modification forms, various other reports, records, logs, etc. You will perform all work in accordance with department policies and procedures, regulations, plans, and specifications, and standards of quality and safety. You will refer to policies and procedure manuals, maintenance manuals, technical manuals, and diagrams, ride manuals, vendor catalogs, etc. You will maintain assigned equipment in a safe and proper working condition and maintain a clean and safe work area. You will interact with and communicate with various groups and individuals, such as the immediate supervisor, other Park managers and staff, co-workers, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors, etc. Requirements: Three to five years of experience in the electrical field, preferably with experience in controls, including PLCs, AC/DC drives, proximity switches, etc. Allen Bradley experience is helpful. Experience with three-phase medium voltage power systems up to 13,000 is required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ladder logic is necessary. Must have computer experience, Microsoft Office preferred. Must have good written and verbal skills. A Journey or Master Electrician License is helpful. Ability to climb to heights of 350 feet is required. Driver's License is necessary.
