Position Overview:
We are in search of a passionate Behavioral Support Technician (BST) with outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to join our dedicated team.

The BST will primarily engage with children and adolescents facing significant learning and developmental challenges, executing behavior intervention strategies under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

The ideal candidate will exhibit patience, professionalism, and the capability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Implementation of Behavior Strategies:
Adhere to detailed behavior intervention plans crafted by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to assist individuals with behavioral challenges.

Client Engagement:
Interact directly with clients to execute behavior protocols and gather data on their progress.

Data Management:
Diligently document and monitor behavioral data during sessions, ensuring comprehensive and timely records.

Behavioral Guidance:
Provide consistent reinforcement of desired behaviors and appropriate responses to challenging situations.

Record Keeping:

Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, including progress notes and incident reports, in line with organizational policies and regulatory standards.


Ongoing Training:
Engage in continuous training sessions to uphold BST certification and enhance skills in behavior analysis and intervention methodologies.

Professional Ethics:
Comply with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.

Client and Family Communication:

Effectively communicate with clients, families, and caregivers to provide support, address inquiries, and ensure clarity regarding behavior intervention strategies.


Safety Protocols:
Guarantee the safety and well-being of clients during sessions by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in psychology, education, or related fields is preferred.
  • Certification and a minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Active Medicaid/National Provider Identification (NPI) number.
  • Preferred: Lee County School District Badge.
Ability to travel to clients' homes within a designated radius.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
