About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Retention Specialist to join our team at the Center for Employment Opportunities. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in supporting our program participants in achieving their career goals and maintaining employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain frequent contact with program participants to provide ongoing support and guidance.
  • Research and connect participants to educational and vocational opportunities that align with their short- and long-term goals.
  • Provide participants with continued life skills education and relevant resources to enhance their employability.
  • Advocate for participant needs with relevant stakeholders, including parole officers and other constituencies.
  • Distribute retention incentives to participants to encourage continued employment.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to help guide participants towards goal achievement.
  • Maintain accurate client records in our case management system, updating progress notes after each meeting with participants.
Requirements
  • 1-2+ years of related experience in a role that involves customer relationship management, case management, or career development.
  • Strong customer service skills and a human-centered approach to communication.
  • Ability to anticipate problems, evaluate them, and determine and implement solutions.
  • Computer savvy, with demonstrated proficiency in word processing, internet research, and familiarity with case management software (Salesforce preferred).
