KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and nurture client relationships within a collaborative sales environment.
- Oversee product deliveries and resolve any issues related to order processing.
- Engage in communication to manage accounts receivable effectively.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while targeting potential clients.
- Maintain awareness of market trends, product advancements, and competitor offerings.
- Proactively visit clients and prospects to ensure timely product delivery.
SUPERVISORY ROLE: This position does not include direct supervision of staff.
COLLABORATIVE RELATIONSHIPS
- Internal: Collaborate with District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, Merchandising and Marketing, Operations, and Customer Support.
- External: Engage with customers, suppliers, and potential clients.
WORKING CONDITIONS This role involves frequent fieldwork in varying weather and temperature conditions.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in sales.
- Experience in the foodservice sector, culinary arts, restaurant management, or hospitality is preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Proven skills in relationship building, cold calling, and business development.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal capabilities.
- A competitive and results-oriented mindset.
- Effective problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS A valid driver's license is mandatory, and the motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The role requires the ability to stand, walk, drive, sit, lift, carry, grasp, and manipulate objects for extended periods.
