Culinary Education Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced culinary educator to lead our food and wine department at Voices Boston. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality educational experiences for adults in the Boston area.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing our culinary education programs, including course design, teacher support, and program planning. They will work closely with our team to ensure that our programs meet the needs of our students and exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement culinary education programs that meet the needs of our students
  • Serve as a liaison between teachers and the management team to ensure excellent teaching practices
  • Manage food and wine fees to ensure they are realistic and aligned with actual expenses
  • Support cooking class assistants and instructors to provide a positive learning experience for students
  • Develop descriptive text for programming used in our catalog and website
  • Communicate with potential clients and instructors about private cooking classes and custom programs
  • Manage the CCAE kitchen and work closely with the Maintenance team to maintain kitchen equipment and appliances
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years' work experience, preferably in a related field
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to multitask, attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with teachers and students
  • Some teaching experience or experience in an educational environment a plus
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000-$65,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes health insurance, paid vacation days, holidays, sick days, and personal days, as well as free tuition.
