Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Senior Software Developer in Test (SDET) specializing in Equity Derivatives within the financial services sector. This role requires a commitment to onsite collaboration in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering (QE) and development leaders to prioritize manual test cases for automation, enhancing the QE process and focusing on regression testing.
  • Analyze the existing codebase (C#/.NET/C++) to identify opportunities for automation integration.
  • Develop standardized automated testing tools to support the QE team, ensuring minimal ongoing maintenance post-release.
  • Provide automation support and training to team members, enhancing the team's capabilities in developing automated testing suites.
  • Evaluate application requirements and design as well as execute test scenarios and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cases, offering feedback on functional documentation.
  • Influence stakeholders at all levels to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
  • Adapt swiftly to changes by proposing innovative solutions and new methodologies.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Create and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in automating manual test cases for applications developed in C#/.NET/C++.
  • Proficient in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell, Python, and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools like JIRA and test management software such as QTest/Quality Control.
  • Familiarity with DevOps integration tools including Bamboo, Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, and BDD testing frameworks.
  • In-depth understanding of software testing principles.
  • Experience with FIX protocol and messaging platforms like MQ/Kafka.
  • Solid knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Engineering processes.
  • Strong domain expertise in Capital Markets, particularly in derivatives (Bonds, Options, Futures, Swaps).
  • Experience in testing applications within the Banking and Financial Services Industry (BFSI) with a comprehensive understanding of the trade lifecycle.
  • Proven expertise in manual functional testing.
