Role Overview: As a Senior Software Quality Engineer at Kohler Ventures, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating closely with the Head of Software, software/hardware engineering teams, and product development teams.
  • Developing a forward-thinking vision and spearheading initiatives to ensure a quality-first approach throughout the entire development lifecycle.
  • Facilitating the deployment and integration of test automation within the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Establishing testing methodologies, best practices, and enhancing test coverage in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Conducting technical evaluations for new features and identifying potential quality issues.
  • Engaging in various scrum meetings to provide insights on functional requirements, product designs, timelines, estimates, or potential challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Quality Engineer.
  • Proficiency in functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience with test automation tools/frameworks for Node and server APIs, such as Jest and Cucumber.
  • Familiarity with validating iOS, Android, or embedded firmware for IoT devices.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into comprehensive test plans and develop automation at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Availability to work outside standard business hours to collaborate with teams across different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of software and hardware/firmware security for cloud and IoT devices.
  • Experience in development using scripting languages, with a preference for Python.

Compensation: The approved base salary range for this position is $114,500 - $145,450, with potential for higher offers based on experience, education, and location. This position is also eligible for performance bonuses and special project incentives.
