About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Field Sales Representative to join our Industrial Division. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating revenue by selling a diverse range of industrial products, software, and services within the industrial weighing and automation/control markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute account penetration plans to drive sales growth and expand our customer base
  • Utilize company resources to prepare for sales activities and engage with assigned accounts
  • Proactively offer solutions and services to assigned accounts, leveraging a network of MT employees, distribution partners, and other counterparts
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential and existing customers, both virtually and in-person
  • Partner with company sales counterparts to expand overall account knowledge and drive sales growth
  • Promote Mettler Toledo as a valued and trusted partner across all divisions
  • Understand customer needs and requirements to better support and react to account expansions
  • Work quickly and decisively to resolve customer complaints and retain business
  • Organize and prioritize selling time to provide optimal account and territory coverage
  • Develop innovative sales strategies to achieve set sales objectives
  • Negotiate terms and conditions, defend pricing, and limit discounting to meet company financial goals
  • Regularly update sales pipeline and enter CRM changes in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industry and Technology, or Business Administration (with relevant experience)
  • 3-5 years of sales experience with a proven track record in the industrial marketplace
  • Knowledge of PLC/control systems and sales experience with OEMs, System Integrators, Engineering firms, and Contractors is advantageous
  • Prior product management experience in a technical field is ideal, but candidates transitioning from industrial sales or other technical disciplines will also be considered
