We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Designer/ EI to join our team at HARDESTY & HANOVER in Tampa, Florida. As a key member of our Highway/Roadway department, you will be responsible for developing roadway and drainage designs for various project types, from preliminary concepts to final construction plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and prepare roadway, drainage, and Temporary Traffic Control Plans designs, calculations, and drawings under the responsible charge of a PE.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in project development and utilize 3D design to analyze and prepare roadway, drainage, and Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) designs, calculations, and drawings.
  • Applicant will be trained in Microstation and OpenRoads processes.
  • Approach tasks with an open mindset and propose innovative solutions to design problems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups, as well as external communication as required on assigned tasks.
  • Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings and may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties.
Requirements:
  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • Engineer Intern (FE) Certification preferred.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
