About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Highway Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Highways and Roadways team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex highway projects.

Your primary focus will be on performing project design, sketching design concepts, and planning and reviewing the production of engineering drawings and specifications. You will also be responsible for developing and evaluating plans and criteria for new projects, analyzing technical problems, and devising new approaches and alternative solutions.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will be expected to coordinate work with project managers, guide junior professionals and technical personnel, and maintain quality standards in all work produced.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform project design, sketching design concepts, and planning and reviewing the production of engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for new projects, analyzing technical problems and devising new approaches and alternative solutions.
  • Coordinate work with project managers, guide junior professionals and technical personnel, and maintain quality standards in all work produced.
Requirements
  • B.S./M.S in Engineering (Civil).
  • 10 years Highway experience (design and construction).
  • P. E. license is required.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Florida, or the ability to be registered within one (1) year.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Solid oral and written communications skills, capable of developing technical writing.
  • Experience using MicroStation and Open Roads Designer.
  • Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience using Auto TURN.
