Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Retirement Account Manager to join our team at MP RPO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of defined contribution plans, including 401(k) and 403(b) plans, and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance and Administration: Perform compliance testing, contribution calculations, and Form 5500 reporting for our clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and advisors, providing a high level of service and ensuring timely resolution of inquiries.
  • Plan Interpretation and Analysis: Interpret plan documents, analyze census data to determine eligibility, and calculate employer contributions.
  • Government Forms and Reporting: Prepare and submit Government Forms, including 5500 and Related Schedules, 5558, 5330, and 8955, and work with plan auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Client Communication and Support: Provide regular updates and support to clients, including year-end client deliverables and reconciliation of trust assets.
  • Plan Design and Consulting: Advise clients on new plan design options and complete plan studies as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks: Enter amendment requests in Pension Pro, update Relius specs, and obtain signatures from clients.
Requirements:
  • Certifications/Designations: ASPPA Designations a plus or be willing to obtain designations.
  • Education: Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of Defined Contribution (DC) retirement compliance and service experience, with a focus on managing a caseload of 70-90 defined contribution plans.
  • Skills/Knowledge: Excellent client relationship, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a working knowledge of FT Williams Government forms and Salesforce a plus.
